Compatibility & source rights

Plan for evolving source data and versioned API behavior.

Versioned wire contract

The published OpenAPI contract is the wire reference. v1 clients must tolerate additional fields and preserve unknown nullable source values. Required fields and successful empty shapes are explicit. Match ranking can evolve without making its score a probability; use identity evidence and truncation flags.

Breaking removals or changed meanings require a new API version and a documented migration/deprecation notice. No universal deprecation period or uptime SLA is promised here; any contractual commitment must be agreed separately. Schema, synthetic examples and mocked runtime payloads are validated together before a local change is accepted.

External evidence gate

The implementation currently reads TCGplayer public-site JSON services. Hosting proves technical availability; it does not establish permission for paid redistribution. The October 4 source-rights register records the implementation and an unresolved executed-agreement evidence gate.

Before representing commercial redistribution as approved, record allowed metadata/images/prices, display surfaces, caching, export, derived values, attribution and termination retention from an executed grant. An agreement may exist outside this repository; this record does not claim it does not.

Explore the wire contract.
