Start with a clear contract.

The workspace API reads inventory and shop data using your existing staff session. Requests stay on the workspace origin and follow the same organization and location permissions.

GET/api/v1/inventory

Exact printing identity, prices in USD cents, and current stock quantities.

GET/api/v1/shop

Location settings, organization SKU counts, and location stock totals.

List inventory

Use q to search, available=true to filter, and limit for 1–100 records. Follow links.next for the next page without changing the search or location.

Inspect the response

Every data response includes an API version, request ID, environment, and authorized scope. Errors include a structured code and message. Private data responses are never cached.

Read inventory and shop data using scoped API keys or your staff session. Write endpoints, OAuth, and outgoing webhooks are not available yet. The examples above are illustrative and do not send requests.

What kind of shop is CardCounter POS built for?

Card and hobby shops that buy collections, sell singles and sealed products, and build a community around collecting. The workflows connect the counter, stockroom, and back office.

Can I track more than card singles?

Yes. Inventory supports exact card printings, sealed products, accessories, and merchant-created merchandise. Each item can carry its own quantity, location, and recorded acquisition cost.

Can I bring my existing records?

The workspace includes inventory import tools and exports. Imports are reviewed so the exact item, condition, quantity, and known cost stay meaningful.

Does CardCounter POS have an API?

Yes. The market data API provides catalog, pricing, history, listings, and card identification endpoints. The separate workspace API provides authenticated inventory and shop reads. See the Developers page for both contracts.

Which plan includes market pricing?

At launch, Growth is $99 USD per month per location and includes the Growth Market Data API and market pricing in your POS. Core is $69 per month per location and includes the shop workspace with prices managed by your team.

How do setup and upgrades work?

Contact us with your shop details and preferred plan. Our team creates your account and coordinates onboarding. Plan changes and higher API allowances are confirmed and applied manually. Existing team members can sign in to their workspace.
