Step by step
- 1
Add clear photographs
Use JPEG, PNG or WebP, up to 16 MB per photo. Photograph the front and back flat against a plain background with all corners visible.
- 2
Match the outer card overlay
Align the card boundary to the actual physical edges using the editor’s supported controls. Avoid a tilted photo or an overlay that includes the background.
- 3
Match the inner printed border
Place the inner guides on the printed frame consistently. Review both horizontal and vertical proportions; use a different photo if glare obscures the border.
- 4
Repeat for the back
Switch sides and align the second image. A front-only review leaves the back-centering assessment incomplete.
- 5
Review the comparisons
Read the measured proportions and the linked published centering guidance. A within-guide result is only a centering comparison, not a grading-company prediction.
On the screen

- 1Front and back photos
Review both sides; a missing side keeps the estimate incomplete.
- 2Match the overlay
Align the card boundary and printed inner border carefully.
- 3Condition review
Measurements and manual observations inform a CardCounter estimate.
Keep in mind
Photos are processed in the browser and are not uploaded to the CardCounter server by this tool. They can contain sensitive background details; use a plain backdrop.
Image angle, cropping, sleeve edges and alignment choices can distort a measurement. Retake the photo when the physical borders are unclear.
If something goes wrong
The estimate is incomplete
Finish both side alignments and all required condition observations. Do not replace missing evidence with No visible wear.
